Alyssa D’Amico, founder and sole practitioner of Niche Wellness LLC, is a graduate of the Nutritional Therapy Assocation program. This intensive curriculum trains to address nutrition from a holistic perspective and teach the importance of properly prepared whole foods that are delicious, nourish the body, and restore good health. Inspired by her own personal digestive and health journey, Alyssa is well aware of the complications and frustrations associated with navigating the world of “health foods”. Inspired by the Weston A Price Foundation and her success with the Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) healing regimen, Alyssa is devoted to the cause of natural health. With a desire to help others who are suffering or simply more interested in gaining greater insight into his or her food and body, Niche Wellness was developed. Focus areas include digestive disorders, healing diets, food allergies and sensitivities, along with connecting individuals to local real food.
Alyssa earned a degree in Sociology from Kent State University. She also completed a 10-month team based national service program of community involvement through Americorp NCCC. Along with her passion for health and nutrition, is organic farming. She completed an intensive internship concerning organic cultivation of herbs, botany and plant identification at Herb Pharm, apprenticed as a nutritional foods and education provider and assistant at Homeadow Song Farm and has participated in work exchange through WWOOF at several locations throughout the United States.
